In Episode 13, recorded on July, 28 2019, Pastor Neptune teaches this online podcast message titled “Ruth, a Beacon of Hope.” He goes through the entire book of Ruth and you’ll see the very first time the translators of the King James Version used the actual word “Hope,” was in the Book of Ruth chapter 1, verse 12. This same Hebrew word was used many times prior, but this is the first time we see hope or a version of hope as we know it today. Pastor Neptune tells the story and gives the anti-type of Boaz (Christ) our kinsmen redeemer in type and shadow. After he finishes the types and shadows through the Book of Ruth, he works on the other translations of hope in the Old Testament. In Chapter 21 he shows the coming/progressing hope (a different translation than that of Ruth 1:12) that the Old Testament writers such as David (Obeds grandson) penned. In conclusion, you'll hear in Chapter 22 our New Testament hope(concrete full assurance in the Greek) which is alive today in Jesus Christ which is Boaz our kinsman redeemer!
